Celebrating its 10th year, Seoul Lantern Festival 2018 will take place along the Cheonggyecheon Stream under the theme of “Seoul Dream, Flowing Light” for 17 days from Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 to Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018.
This year, the festival will be divided and displayed under four different themes: Start of a New Dream, Dreaming of a Future, Sparkling Memories, and Traditional Flow. In addition, there will also be a variety of programs lined up such as sending up wish lanterns (sky lanterns), crafting traditional lanterns, and participating in SNS events.

Highlights
▶ Hundreds of lanterns, each with a unique design and story, will be lit along Cheonggyecheon (Stream) starting from Cheonggyecheon Square to Supyogyo Bridge
Itinerary

Koreans call Chunggyecheon as an oasis in the city central that is awakened from a long sleep. Among the dense tall buildings’ line-up, one ray of water is flowing through the central. Chunggyecheon has become a resting and picnic place for office workers at their lunch time and weekends. This place is chosen as the most beautiful ‘100 roads’ in Korea, it is really good for taking a stroll during a warm sun shining day.
