2. Changdeok Palace

   Changdoekgook Palace is the only place that is designated as a World Heritage site within Korean palaces.Changdeokgoong palace receives a lot of praises for its beauty and is well remained as its original state.Especially the back garden, which occupies over half of the palace, shows the beauty of the Korean traditional garden the most well.This place is where the kings of Joseon Dynasty had relived their stressed and spirits from state affairs in the past.Let us become like a king of the past during the Joseon times and take a stroll and rest around the backyard of the Changdoekgook Palace.

3. Secret Garden

   Changdeokgung’s rear garden was constructed during the reign of King Taejong and served as a resting place for the royal family members. The garden had formerly been called ‘Bukwon’ and ‘Geumwon,’ but was renamed ‘Biwon’ after King Kojong came into power. The garden was kept as natural as possible and was touched by human hands only when absolutely necessary. Buyongjeong, Buyongji, Juhabru, Eosumun, Yeonghwadang, Bullomun, Aeryeonjeong, and Yeongyeongdang are some of the many pavilions and fountains that occupy the garden. The most beautiful time to see the garden is during the fall when the autumn foliage is at its peak and the leaves have just started to fall.

4. Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Center

   Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Center was established in September 2005 in order to preserve Korean traditional culture and arts and promote them to the public, as well as foreign visitors. It is especially designed to provide various education and training courses direct to the public by the guardians of Important Cultural Heritage, offering a wonderful opportunity to learn about genuine Korean cultural heritage. Cultural and artistic value can be attached not only to inanimate artifacts and buildings, but also to people, so that Intangible Cultural Heritage embodies all the valuable and important cultural assets of a nation, including its people.

6. National Classical Music Institute

   The national classical music institute is a traditional performance place that you can experience traditional dance and songs, the royal music and dancing, and the creative Korean classical music. If foreign tourists visit and see the performances, they would fall in love with the beauty of the Korean arts.

7. Museum of Traditional Korean Music

   The Museum of Traditional Music (Gugak) features the Korean first gugak museum, holding about 6,000 pieces of gugak-related materials and relics which have both historical and cultural values. It is comprised of seven themed permanent exhibition halls that present 250 pieces of audio and video clips regarding gugak. In the 3D room, visitors can enjoy 3D animation at all times. Also, various interesting, special and planned exhibitions are held.

8. Janggu Experience

   The janggu experience in National Gugak Center is a special time to learn exciting Samul (Korean traditional percussion) rhythm from the professional players. When you meet the Korean traditional culture by experience, you will get a great impression and memories over seeing a performance.
